A photo of a very tall waterfall dripping from a tree lined up cliff high above the viewpoint, straight down. It then rests a moment before it's final plunge under a small scenic footbridge across a narrow gap. The last small cliffs it squeezes between are covered in mosses and ferns. The last pool it drops into is obscured by some shrubs that are changing into fall colors. The upper tall cliff is a little hazy from spray from the big drop of the waterfall, while the lower one is much shaper.

Multnomah Falls thundering in full roar after heavy rains. Vertical Color Image: At the top of the image, barely left of the image midline, the upper fall plunges over the edge of a misty, tree-line cliff. To the viewer's right, a secondary, seasonal, waterfall is distinctly visible. Autumn colors on the steps of a staircase at Multnomah Falls. Leaves bigger than my hands, and I've got big hands. Horizontal color photograph: wet stone steps glisten in the early morning gloom of a rainy, misty day at the Multnomah Falls viewing area. The water crashes into the small plug basin, and then races past a boulder and down a small cascade on its way to the Lower Falls. The lower reaches of the cliff face have brilliant patches of yellow orang from where small trees have found a ledge to perch on. The banks of the creek are green, with patches of yellow autumn color.
