Finding and documenting fantastical microscopic creatures is what Professor Lichen does best. And in this world, microscopic life is quite advanced. I hope you enjoy these creatures and this lore as much as I like making them. #fantasyart #art #mythicalmicrobes #creaturedesign #weirdart
Excited to introduce the star-shaped Astriodora Diatom, found at the base of a pond that had collected over the winter months next to a Daphne plant. #mythicalmicrobes #drawwithme #art #fantasyart
Mythical Microbe prints are finally ready! I’m so excited for people to see these in real life. Every specimen is inspired by real microscopic life and mixed with fantastical creatures. I hope they make you smile and think.

One-of-a-kind stuffed animals sitting next to a drawing of the same character. The character is a mythical microbe called the “lichen bubble mold.” The stuffed animals are round and have rolls, they are green and have large eyes with small bits of fluffy moss-life fabric attached to their bodies
A close up of the lichen bubble mold print.
An extra derpy lichen bubble mold
The lichen bubble molds are ready for the haunted market in two weeks! They are all unique and one-of-a-kind. I can’t wait for people to see this in the real world. I hope they like them! 🦠💚 #mythicalmicrobes #art #stuffies #oc #goblincoreaesthetic
The prototypes are getting better! This is a prototype for my Lichen Bubble Mold, a mythical microbe. Moss is attracted to their plump bodies. #trusttheprocess #mythicalmicrobes #smallartist #goblincore
A drawing of a mythical microscopic animal
A picture of two mushrooms
A picture of a black terrier
Three different forms of art. One created by me, the other two by nature. And yes, my dog is *art* #smallartist #art #fantasyart #mythicalmicrobes
Three prints with drawings of mythical microscopic creatures on them. The prints include details about where the creatures were found and what they act like.
These are a few of my #mythicalmicrobes. Fantasy creatures I’ve created, inspired by the microscopic world and made to look like field notes from an old biology journal. #oc #ocart #fantasyart #smallartist
Professor Lichen here. It seems that the Fenestra Annelida may be the cause of the fenestration on the monstera adansonii. The specimens I found were curiously munching the patterns on the leaves in structured patterns. More research is needed. #fatasyart #mythicalmicrobes #art
Professor Lichen here. These are just some of the #mythicalmicrobes I’ve sampled over the past couple years. They are all fascinating creatures and surprise me with what they are willing to share. Come along as we explore the unknown together. #art #fantasyart
