暑くなってくると、湯船に浸かるのが面倒くさくなってくる。
だからシャワーだけで良いかなって思ってしまうのだけれど、そんなボクをmfyはどうやらあまり良く思っていないらしい。
「暑くて疲れやすいこの時期だからこそ、しっかり湯船に浸かって身体を休ませないと」
そう話す彼女は、背中の後ろに腕をまわして隠していたものをボクに見せた。
「だから、これ」
「これは…入浴剤？」
「とけたら、中からおもちゃが出てくる」
ラインナップを見せられ、可愛いおもちゃに思わず目が輝く。
「どう？入る気になった？」
「すっごいなった！」
何だか子供っぽいなと思いつつたまらなく愛を感じて、頬が緩んだ。

実家の大掃除を手伝ったときに出てきた、かき氷機。
少し古くはあるものの壊れてはいないそれを持ち帰ってmfyに見せてやれば、彼女の瞳に一瞬きらりと星が浮かんだ。
「…私、自分でかき氷、作ったことない」
「だと思った。だから持ち帰ってきたんだよ」
今週末、一緒に作ろう――そうボクが笑うと、彼女が頷く。それがほんの少し幼く見えて、とても可愛くて。
「シロップも買ってこなきゃね」
「うん…」
「屋台屋さんごっこしたいな」
「うん……」
余程嬉しいのかmfyは珍しく感情が表情にダダ漏れで、しばらくかき氷機をまじまじと眺める。
そうした後、こちらを向いて微笑んだ。
「ありがとう、mzk」
