An enormous amount of attention has been paid to the hominin remains including their sedimentary context (which is another discussion), but we can't understand if there is something particular to #Naledi deposition in Rising Star, unless we first look at how all these animals were also accumulating.

So I don't agree that natural #Naledi body accumulation has been adequately addressed yet. We need detailed assessment of faunal taphonomy as well as hominin (2023 primate tooth find in Dragon's Back; owl, Felidae, Bovidae, microfauna in Dinaledi, & canid, ?Felidae, mongoose, hare/rabbit in Lesedi).
