Vice-President, Derrick Roberts, highlights the excellent resource from TIE, the Digital Discourse Initiative, which helps tackle online disinformation but warns that we will never get it right for every child if we don't first Get It Right for Every Teacher! #NASUWT

First-time speaker, Neil Farmer, from Glasgow, praises the work of NASUWT, Scottish Government and others to develop a National Action Plan on Behaviour but shares the fact that a roadblock occurs, often at local authority level, which stops effective implementation of this. #NASUWT

Ally Carle from Aberdeenshire asks: 'How can we have trauma-informed practice if we do not have trauma-informed leadership?' in her call for better support for teacher well-being, especially for pastoral staff. #NASUWT

Scotland President, David Anderson, highlights the work NASUWT is doing with Scottish Government around, for example, recording and monitoring of violent incidents, but discussion and guidance is of little use if there are no improvements on the ground. #NASUWT

National Executive Member, Rod McCready, seconds the Facts, Figures and Funding Motion and emphasises the absolute necessity of ring-fencing the £920m coming in Barnett Consequentials for SEND spending in England for Additional Support for Learning funding in Scotland. #NASUWT

I consider #RoisinMurphy's comment on #TransTeachers NOT being allowed to be teachers if parents object. Tantamount to incitement to hate of trans teachers, incitement to discrimination against people who cannot help who they are!
