Here a clip of NAT64 in action. I'm able to ping the IPv4 address from PC1 with an IPv6 prefix.

Here is a Visio Diagram of my NAT64 Lab.
I'm enjoying making diagrams again.

Attached is a lab which involves NAT64. It provides stateful translations from IPv6 to IPV4. On NAT64-R1 there is a pool of addresses from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200. PC1 has an IPv6 address. Yes, NAT64 is possible on CML folks.

@nico I stumbled upon your "RIPE85: Open Source NAT64 Implementations" presentation [1].
Any good news or tips you could share about high performance NAT64 for linux now that it's 2025?
Is https://github.com/NICMx/Jool the way to go? Or are there better or even mainline options now?
TIA!

@alexhaydock Oh wow, I guess I know what I'll be doing during the holidays. I've wanted to play with #OpenBSD and also revamp my fairly fragile containerized #Jool #NAT64 setup that does questionable things with kernel versions.
I've long been comfortable with "ip" in Linux, but maybe the BSD […]
@doachs For IP cameras, I've had to resign to having a Legacy IP-only VLAN and subnet, but it's purposely not routed. In future, I'd like to create #NAT64 static rules to give IPv6 addresses to these devices, so that not even the DVR service needs to deal with Legacy IP.
The firmware on some […]
