approved the provisional agreement on #NewGMOs (59–24–2). 🇪🇺
The deal allows category 1 #NGTs (≈94% of plants in the pipeline) to be placed on the market without risk assessment, labelling or traceability. ⛔️ 🔎

📨ENGA Newsletter: EU negotiators have agreed a deal to deregulate most #NewGMOs — abolishing risk assessment, labelling & traceability for 94 % of plants in the pipeline. ENGA urges policymakers to reject it and protect transparency, consumer choice & the Non-GMO sector.
