I had to change the shirt situation for this drawing commission∙∙the gods were kind and allowed for deep tissue erasure. I tell you, erasing was a holy practice in the early days and remains embedded in the practice

A touch of Henry Vlll here. Beards are deceptively challenging—they present as a mass that is *easier* to draw but they are unique maps of hills and valleys that require as much attention as any other feature
