And I like #NightCoppers for two reasons.

1. My mum and dad were both police officers and so was my sister. I broke with tradition by joining the RAF.

2. It shows how broken we are as a country. I know a lot of it is tv choosing worst bits to broadcast; but there’s still a lot of broken people.

#nightcoppers is a terrific show. Policing brilliant. Proud it is my home town of Brighton. Shows the lunacy of the place very well but also the humanity. Quality series.

Walkabout in Brighton seems an absolute menkal place. Always kicking off in there #NightCoppers

Watching #NightCoppers on Channel4 and a member of the public didn’t recognise one of the coppers as a ‘police officer’.

This is the consequence of officers wearing paramilitary gear with no recognisable symbols that identify them as police officers! They just look like rentacop security guards!

So glad that #nightcoppers is back. For a show about drunken fights and crime, it's so joyful. It humanises the police, showing them laughing and joking with each other and the public. Plus it shows how calm and professional they remain in the face of abject antagonism. Oh and I LOVE Brighton.

I just watched the first new episode of #nightcoppers. It scares me how much the job has changed in the 12 years I've been out. The professionalism seems to have gone.

#nightcoppers #4hd #c4 some of those police drivers need a refresher course - eyes on road and both hands on wheel, for starters. Some v young officers in pairs without experienced colleagues, too. Have the latter all thrown in the towell?
