A photo of me and Dave, my nine year old white shepherd, taken just before he was put to sleep this evening. I brought Dave into UCD Veterinary Hospital this morning for an operation to fix a torn ACL. A straight forward operation that would have him running up the mountains again before Christmas. Two hours later my world began to fall apart when I got a call to say they had found an abnormally in his blood, and after more tests they discovered cancer had spread to his lungs leaving Dave with 2 to 4 weeks to live. Ten minutes after this photo he was gone 💔 Dave was the best dog in the world, full of love for everyone. Im going to miss him so much 😞
