Yes we have floods coming... A view sitting behind what's supposed to be the water break of the 1-5 Bridge Crossing the Nisqaully River (I 5 is far left). This break has been eroding for several years & this flood will certainly cause more erosion . #flood2025 #nisqaully #nisquallyriver #i5bridge

A stratovolcano with a fresh coat of snow reflects the cotton candy- colored skies. A river flows thought a forest in the lower part of the frame while a sky filled with orange, pink and blue fills the top part.

One of my favorite afternoons of shooting Tahoma!

The many braids of the Nisqually River. At this elevation the Nisqually River is still relatively small, steep, and carries a lot of sediment from the glaciers of Tahoma. These channels change over time as heavy floods will move the channels and islands between them. This image shows many braided channels of the Nisqually river as Tahoma Creek joins it from the top of the frame. Fall colors are displayed in the many deciduous trees surrounding the river.
