The one thing I missed in the remake that was present in the original (to my modern eye) was the erotic charge between Thomas and Orlok; but the flavor of their exchanges in this had a different objective that it succeeded in

that was a fairly faithful remake, I did appreciate that in this version Ellen gets agency to make her big choice where she's not really given that in the 1920s ending. Also Eggers often has something interesting to say about the patriarchy even when its not the focus

Loved how Eggers added the Romani group living, loving, laughing and having vampire hunting down to a community-wide, transparent art, and how this contrasts with the utter failure of the urbanite protagonists to coordinate, share information and protect each other.

Well, Nosferatu was - ok. Nicholas Hoult, Emma
Corrin, Willem Defoe were good, Simon McBurney very good, terrifying, looked fantastic (though think my favourite shots came from Murnau film). However, too long, flat in places, script very ornate (worked for some actors, not others) #nosferatuspoilers
