I'm a little late for #Caturday, but here's a picture I really like of Notty Cat and I hanging out on my recliner.

Close up, wide-angle portrate of a smiling plastic Dimetrodon on the dashboard of my car as I overtake a black semi-truck.
Dash Dino (not actually a dino) is good to have along when I'm traveling, but he's no substitute for my kitties, Susy and Notty Cat. I know they're being well cared for at him, but I hope they're not too upset at my absence or causing too much property damage […]

Photo of Vaux's swifts clinging to the sides in a chimney (not mine, but same situation). Photo via The Nature Conservancy site.
We have an unused fireplace in our living room which was blocked by furniture and closed insert doors. But this year a colony of Vaux's swifts moved in. Today, one of them somehow got past the dampers into the fireplace (I was notified by Notty Cat). I just […]

Picture of the cover of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine, with snow and mushroom houses in the illustration. A gray cat's tail and butt are in the way.
Cover of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine #36, whimsical art of snow and mushroom houses, plus lots of contributor's names, including mine.
Side and feet of a gray tabby cat standing between the camera and the cover of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine.
Tried to take a picture of the cover of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine #36 with my new Minions at Work cartoon in it, but Nottycat decided to jump up on the counter and "help."

I am not the king of this recliner.

Portrait of a handsome gray tabby cat, staring intently at something off camera.
"Notty" Not My Cat has no time for your human nonsense. There are windows to look out of and time's a wastin.'

A gray and brown tabby cat (Notty) sprawls on my chest and stomach as I sit in my recliner, relaxed face in the foreground of the picture

A stainless steel cat fountain shaped like an oblong tub, with a shallow, water-filled platform as the lid. A curved steel tube delivers a stream of water to the platform from a tank below. It sits on a mat with a couple of bowls of dry kibble food.
Because she loves to drink from the similarly curved faucet in the bathroom next door, I just installed this new cat fountain for Notty cat. So far she has sniffed it, but is mostly indifferent. She is a cat, after all. Hopefully she'll warm up to it. If not […]

Grey tabby cat leaning out of a linen closet that has been left open a second too long.
One sign that Notty Cat (Not My Cat) is now our cat is that she is suddenly in and on, EVERYTHING.

Notty cat, a gray tabby cat sittin in n my lap looking to the left.
Same cat, same lap, but Notty cat's head is bent back, looking left, but upside down.
Not My Cat and I taking a workshop lap break in one of my wife's office chairs.

A gray tabby cat sits in the middle of a hanging file cart with folders and notebooks on either side. She looks intently at the camera, ears tweaked up. She does not want your nonsense...
Not My Cat delves even deeper into "helping" with my wife's filing system...

A Gray tabby cat leaping towards the camera showing fangs and claws, green eyes narrowed, trying to catch a feathered toy on a string.
Not My Cat with her favorite toy. Two nights ago, after play time I collapsed the telescoping pole, rolled up the string, palmed the bird, and hid it on top of a bookcase behind a finger print kit on display there (my wife writes mystery). But by morning […]

Looking down at a gray tabby cat leaping up to grab a feather toy on a string.
Looking down at a gray tabby cat looking up, paws raised, intent on grabbing a feather toy that blurs by overhead.
Not My Cat LOVES the bird on a string/fishing pole toy, as most cats do. But she is GOOD at it, fast, athletic, and vicious. Supports my theory that she's been hunting lots of birds out there. All the more reason I'm glad we're bringing her inside.
