Sun et al. find that the lncRNA DNAJC3-AS1 buffers the behavior of FBL condensation and maintains the functional state of FC/DFC units in the context of high FBL expression. The study proposes one mechanism to answer how cells maintain the proteostasis of prion-like proteins in high concentrations without cell growth arrest.
