A split image with a broken egg on pavement in the top position and a broken bone, probably of a bird, on pavement. This to me represents the first 3 remembrances of our physical nature to grow old, get sick at times, and eventually die.
A quarter coin facing heads up on pavement. Representing the loss of the things and people most dear to us as the 4th remembrance. Oh how we have a "love" of money. One of the iconic cravings of our current samsaric experience.
An old pay phone on a twisted post bent to the ground. Leaves collect around the bent base. Representing the 4th remembrance of separation from those we love and are dear to us. The communication lines and connection eventually severed.
The last remembrance that our only possession is our karma, the blurred business names painted on the front of a closed garage. The letters overlap previous names of the business making the name last used difficult to distinguish. A sign below indicates the property is available for purchase.
Things I saw on my walk before sangha. The 5 Remembrances seemed to be the theme.
