Western larch turns golden in the fall as the setting sun enhances the glow.
Tamarack in fall colors reflect in the lake.
I’m surrounded by western larch or as we call it, Tamarack, & I did not know it was endangered. Many burn it for firewood. In a month or so it’s going to be turning golden across the hillsides. Forest service is still allowing almost clear cuts of large acreage of these trees in #Okanogan county.
