I'm thinking about doing another old road that linked up with the Royal Road but was de-commissioned because it had fords that crossed the Warta and tributaries that constantly flooded and moved
but it is pouring down right now & will be as muddy as hell tomorrow

They are very close but for seemingly no reason,
apart from the "Feldstellung" or "Riegelstellung" of 1944/45 that followed the Warta river
