A week ago I photographed for the first time a rare migrant to central VA, the Olive-sided Flycatcher. I found it totally silent sitting at the top of a dead ash tree.
You can see the white patches on its back which are a good field mark for this species. #birds #olivesidedflycatcher #rarity
