The sheer amount of subtle errors in the One Must Fall 2097 animation script tags is starting to feel like a crude, but incredibly effective, obfuscation system. Tags that don't exist, tags incorrectly duplicated, tags with no meaning in this context, invalid frame IDs we've got them all! #omf2097

Today @potsdamnhacker.bsky.social channeled the dev spirits to unintentionally recreate an old bug, which gave purpose again to the old fix
Turns out #OMF2097 has a dedicated cross-up protection property on select air moves and is not just a quirk of the engine.

In #OMF2097 the manual states that Shadow clones only take a fraction of the damage taken. If only that were true.
I don't know how @legendaryblueshirt.bsky.social did it, but he implemented pretty much all the missing animation tags for OpenOMF this weekend, which makes a bunch of the complicated stuff like Pyros' scrap/destruct work now! The road to 1.0 just got a lot shorter! #omf2097
#OMF2097 the reason Thorn's Spike Charge bowls over newcomers is because it's -1 on block regardless of distance. Sometimes you can mash directions to glitch and jump out but generally the best move is to punish with throw.
