4-panel pixel art comic strip, page 1 in an ongoing series.
Panel 1: Kaoru, a blue-haired woman wearing a red and white shrine maiden's outfit and holding a broom, looks at the camera. Narration reads "My name is Kaoru. I live and work here at Ayashigaoka Shrine.
Panel 2: Establishing shot of the shrine grounds, depicting a small building, stone lanterns, and trees in the background. Narration reads "I doubt you've heard of it. It's rather unremarkable, and smack in the middle of nowhere."
Panel 3: A busty blue-skinned demon in flight, grinning madly. The demon is carrying a shinto monk in orange garb, who is dropping his hat and struggling to break free. Kaoru is looking up at them in shock. Narration: "Nothing much happens here, and it's pretty quite. ...or it WAS, until a demon kidnapped our head monk."
Panel 4: Kaoru stands dramatically in a determined pose facing a torii shrine gate. Through the gate, blazing flames are visible. Narration: "Without him, I'd have to find a new job. ...so I kinda had to go rescue him."
4-panel pixel art comic strip, page 2 in an ongoing series.
Panel 1: A close-up shot of shrine-maiden Kaoru from the neck down. She is holding a large mechanical gun in her right hand, and flames are visible in the background. Narration: "Of course, like any shrine maiden, I can summon a magical gatling gun."
Panel 2: Scene of Kaoru firing her gun at a group of demons. She is standing in the center in front of flames, laughing maniacally. Four different female demons surround her, each in a state of panic trying to escape. Narration: "I reluctantly fought through hordes of monsters, eventually reaching the commander's castle."
Panel 3: Kaoru and the demon are fighting, drawn in a chibi style. Kaoru is standing on the floor, firing upward, while the demon swoops down from above holding a ball of energy. Several explosions are in the background, and the kidnapped monk is in his boxer shorts, chained to a nearby bed. Narration: "...and at the top floor, I confronted the demon. It was a fierce battle, but I triumphed in the end."
Panel 4: Kaoru stands over the demon, looking down defeated and laying on the ground. The monk reaches to hug Kaoru, who smacks him in the face with her fist. A chibi version of the demon lays on the ground, dizzy and knocked out. Narration: "I thought that was the end of it. ...but that's when something REALLY weird happened."
4-panel pixel art comic strip, page 3 in an ongoing series.
Panel 1: The blue-skinned demon, Aki, is sitting on top of a torii gate in a sultry pose looking down at Kaoru. Kaoru, the shrine maiden, is sweeping the grounds and looks up at Aki in surprise. Narration: "She showed up a few days later, and I was ready to fighter off once more."
Panel 2: Aki stands before Kaoru, smiling and waving with her other hand on her hip. Kaoru looks back at Aki in nervous confusion with question marks over her head. Narration: "But she wasn't here to fight. She was downright friendly."
Panel 3: Aki embraces Kaoru, leaning in close to her face; Aki's hand is on Kaoru's shoulder, her cleavage pressed against Kaoru's arm, and her tail reaching around lifting Kaoru's skirt. Kaoru glares at Aki in silent anger, frowning and about to lash out. No narration in this panel.
Panel 4: Aki and Kaoru depicted in a chibi style. Kaoru is shouting and wildly swinging a wooden gohei wand around her at Aki. Aki is dodging around her in various sultry poses, avoiding the strikes. Narration: "...way, WAY too friendly."
Title page of a pixel art comic strip, page 4 in an ongoing series. Illustration of a blue-haired woman (Kaoru) and a blue-skinned demon (Aki) together in a futon underneath a red blanket, viewed from above. Kaoru is laying on her back, wearing a grey tank top and looking to her left at Aki. Aki is on her side, smiling happily with her eyes closed, embracing Kaoru's arm with her breasts pressing against Kaoru's chest. She is wearing a large metal shackle around her neck, a gold ring, and gold earrings. Narration: "It turns out... the demon I defeated fell in love with me!" The title logo is designed in a way reminiscent of overly-verbose Japanese light-novel title logos.
