Is peer review bias slowing down the adoption of #MicrophysiologicalSystems?
If you're attending the 2026 MPS World Summit in Washington, D.C. this May, let's connect! ✈

A graphic with a photo of a white and grey rat standing up but slightly crouching in front of a geometric blue and yellow background. The text reads: “Business Wire. October 7, 2025. “This advance demonstrates the ability of Human-on-a-Chip systems to replicate complex neurological processes such as stress-related cognitive decline without the need for animal studies.” James Hickman, PhD. Chief Scientist, Hesperos.
🤝 Hesperos, Inc. and Bayer teamed up to create the first-ever human microphysiological system that can model central nervous system stress.

Engineers at @uofrbme.bsky.social have developed a silicon membrane microphysiological model of the human blood-brain barrier.
This new platform can help scientists study acute peripheral inflammation and brain injury, and can be expanded with additional cell types.

Hard to believe it’s already the final day of the #MPS World Summit—don’t miss the closing #keynote by Peter Loskill at 1 PM! 🎙️ He’ll explore #OrganOnChips for translational applications in immuno-oncology, ophthalmology, & (cardio)metabolic research! Let’s end on a high note! 🙌 @plosk.bsky.social
Hello scientists in #microfluidics and #organonchips ! I took a break after creating the two related feeds, but I'd like to get back to it, now that more and more scientists have joined Bluesky
I'm therefore open to all suggestions to make these feeds more relevant for everyone's research !
Registration and abstract submission for our Nature Conference 'Engineered models of human disease' are now open! Take advantage of early-bird rates and send us an abstract!

As I mentionned before, I think that an efficient way of building these feeds might be by creating and curating a list of scientists and researcher in these fields to appear on the feed, in addition to having posts containing #microfluidics or #organonchips (and their singular/plural varients)
I'm finally back at work, and will try to improve both the #microfluidic & #organonchips feeds !
I'm currently using SkyFeed to build these, but I'm open to suggestios or comments on what should appear here ! #AcademicSky
A brief overview of #Organonchips research on viral diseases from my lab and a few others!
Done! Don't forget to use the #Organonchips tag to appear in the feed!
The #OrganOnChips feed has been updated ! I've added the tag #organonchip (s) & #organ-on-chip (s) as tags. The tag #ooc is actually used all over BlueSky for other stuff, so before we have enough people to start a curated list, the aformentionned tags are the way to go
With the recent surge of new people, I hope that I will be able to find other people working on #bioengineering and #Organonchips #Ooc, it's been quite lonely there!
And for those who eventually come across this post, my name's Jules, I'm a 3rd year phd student working on vessels on chips!
