Kranj Ossuary in Slovenia Just below the cobblestones of Kranj’s old town square lie the remains of thousands of the city’s medieval residents. Excavations revealed early iterations of the nearby church, including a baptismal font dating to the late Roman period, a 13th-century catacomb, and a later medieval ossuary. Visitors can access the underground site through the Gorenjski Museum, located around the corner in the Town Hall.
