Today we celebrate the birthday of American author of science fiction and non-fiction books and stories, and comic books Otto Binder, born today in 1911. The co-creator of Supergirl, he is known for his many scripts for Captain Marvel and the superhero Marvel Family. #OttoBinder

A young #JoeKubert started working for #HarryACheslerJr., who founded the first comic book shop, in 1938, who also employed comic book greats #MortMeskin, #JackCole & #OttoBinder. While originally just doing chores around the studio, Kubert had started his comic book career at age 12.
