It’s just some of the many smaller daffs in the wildlife garden outfront - they have been a beacon all March waving around and just so cheerful to see 🧤in the background top right tis the horsechestnut home to so much wildlife and now sporting those precious buds - all my trees are 🌟🧤
I set it on the little round mosaic table which supports other bits and bobs from the garden in the background the big buddleia 🧤

They all come to this small tray under the big buddleia tree - it’s a cold wet morning too so far 🧤the little metal bird tops the feeder 🧤and honeysuckle twines around the tree🌟
The camellia is really putting it out there this spring 🌟🧤more unfolding by the day 🌟🧤it is up against the big kitchen buddleia hone to many birds and shields the bird feeder too - below a pot container full of water 💦 one of the many water holes for all creatures in the wildlife garden 🌟

Shows the new growth coming up from the roots and what a fine display! Red green leaves on show - I wonder if there’ll be more blossom later (it’s white ) 🧤a fine but overcast morning and cooler too 🧤
This strawb lives in a honeysuckle pot and there might be other plants too - you can see the prolific herb Robert which grows either side joining a big potted honeysuckle out of sight but at the top centre of this pot 🧤slowly the wildlife garden is establishing- we work together and have done from the start when it was just a patch of grass - it has become my delight and is a delight to itself 🧤
It’s the one the blue tits bath in -over to the lhs the camellia bloom pink and behind that the daffs uptop and over the road the giant willow and then top rhs the horsechestnut still bare branches as the lay over the hedges - full of birdsong and chatter this morning 🎶🎶
At last after a (what seemed) very slow unfurling - here they are in a glorious pink with the yellow centre - ah 🌟they are resting by the kitchen buddleia 🧤

Had this maybe three years give or take prob from Aldi and it began in a pot until I finally chanced it in the ground - this year looks to be the year it breaks out!! Yippee as there are a few good blossoms there 🌟
It used to dangle from the wild Cherry 🍒 until it fell off too many times so it is now safely tied to the buddleia - the biggest of all my buddleias this one near the kitchen and a home to the birds as the bird feeder is nearby 🌟🧤🏡

It is actually more like a small tree and it has orange berries but the birds all hop around in it and under it plus it’s where the fatballs are so lots of foliage and structures for them 🧤right at the bottom where the blackbirds 🐦⬛ like to dig the cyclamen has not only survived but spread out nicely - it’s a white one 🧤

This one was the main Robin whilst the other stayed over the path under the big shrubbery there but he came very close to me over to my lhs hopping on the bamboo canes and then to the ground for the seed and mealworms 🧤it’s a joy. 🌟

Bingo was the first plant holding dog to arrive here and has sported a number of blooms from his back / at the moment it’s a dandelion I think!! It will be refreshed 🌟the green container is one of the many water holes on the pathway 🌟

Robin time
My first bird up she (?) is very tame and doesn’t wait for me to go in / she had a good potter round then perched for a bit on my low border panels 🌟in my rush to get a photo I managed to not get her at all ! Just bits sticking out from one of bamboo stakes !! Oh well 😁so the tangle of wood and buds is mostly honeysuckle with periwinkle there too and the usual buddleia xx

The skies were full of changing colours threaded with the sharp March sun and then the birds swooping and swirling above - a fine morning 🧤
It is a tiny little plant which hangs over the side and falls into the upturned bin lid which serves as a bird bath and water 💦 hole for the creatures - up against the kitchen wall 🏡🧤

It was dangling from the wild Cherry which is at the top of the garden but was on the ground this morning - it has lived on the Cherry 🍒 for three years and more but time to change so will try it on the buddleia outside the kitchen window - I hope it still lights up this evening if not that’s all my outside lights gone - definitely a sign to move on up and out 🧤🌟on the rhs in the distance the mighty Ash x
This is the closest I’ve been so far to my little garden Robin - when I first moved here the Robin bird was the first bird to talk to me and encouraged me to feed and water daily - these creatures welcomed me far more than any humans did and I think prompted the wildlife garden / I think have explained how I had to fight for this outside space as there was a lot of opposition to it from near neighbours and the HA. However and somehow I stood up for it and backed myself - anyone else doing this please keep going and use organisations to help you (housing ombudsman) it is worth it. The wildlife they do know. They probably know more than we do 🌟

one of my sktetches showing off Bingo the dog with a pot - he has held many a bloom too. At the moment it is so drear there isn't much on display outfront except some hardy heather and a couple of equally hardy plants. Days like this aren't inspiring so you have to work harder to find the light. Let's do that.x
