Old but still true: βWhy, then, since the #Singularity is so plainly, even intrusively, visible in our past, does #sciencefiction persist in placing a pale mirage of it in our future? Perhaps: the #owlofMinerva flies at dusk β¦β bactra.org/weblog/699.h...
ππ Little owl (Athene noctua) The little owl, also known as the owl of Athena or owl of Minerva, is a small, plump owl, about 22 cm long, with a flat head, short tail, and striking yellow eyes beneath white "eyebrows" giving a stern expression. Its plumage is mottled brown and white. It is widely distributed across Europe, Asia, and North Africa, favoring open country like farmland, parkland, and orchards. Primarily crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) but often seen during the day, perched on posts or trees. They hunt small mammals, insects, and invertebrates, often swooping from a perch. Little owls are territorial and cavity-nesting, with males performing head-bobbing displays during courtship. Thirteen subspecies are recognised. π·: Photo by Alpcem via Pixabay https://pixabay.com/photos/owl-perched-animal-bird-wildlife-6466676/ JRQG
