The next one down is white with tan shading. White with grey shading. White with blue shading • to the right of that is a blue cat with black shoulder. • above the cat and the orbs are 2 tuffs of hair as example of how to mimic wavy (tan/cream) fur and curly (grey) fur. • to the right of the cat are examples of animal eyes and another orb of blue shaded with black for darker fur. • bottom right is a small painting from memory of my puppy bandit- painted with blue and black. • top right is a small dog head with an example of longer fur on the ears.

Recently I've started doing some more value studies from film stills as I find them really helpful. I limit these to about an hour so I'm not tempted to go down the rendering rabbit hole...

Lately I’ve been somewhat unhappy with how I render, and design armour, and so I decided to create some studies. I ended up really enjoying the challenge of this photo study so I’ll definitely be doing more in the near future.

This is a face painting studies of a men in a 17th century style. the colors are red, orange and yellow with blue highlight.
