Non player peddlers have their own inventories and hint at strategies and trade routes. Some strategies will be good, and others... not so much.

Figured out wording. If items want turbulence from your ship, they have a chance of agitation. If they don't, they'll have a chance of breaking. The way things worked out the optimal way to transport fish eggs is to fly as fast and recklessly as possible.

Making ship turbulence more fun by adding items that WANT to be tossed around. Crystal growing will require high turbulence to create a supersaturated solution, then low turbulence to grow nice crystals.

Still figuring out clear wording.

Tiny little update on the chat - when someone's typing, their icon will also be animated.

The chat was a spur of the moment addition with lazy code b/c I wasn't sure it would work out design-wise. It worked, so all these little changes are also refactoring time.

The default controls are a pretty wonky, but it serves its purpose in that I can wave it at people irl and let them try it.

NPCs will now sometimes set up small shops themselves. Their hours are inconsistent, their inventory is limited, but they tend to be good deals.

I'm aiming to submit a demo that's nice enough for steam sometime in December, with Neon/Malady as the playable characters. So their ships and layouts were cleaned up the earliest.

The Mobile Suns haven't done anything because I was trying to make their options fit without becoming a menu.

I still want more visual cues that aren't color reliant. But they fit and toggle, so with proper text, they'll be good enough for now.

Most of the travel code was written before #peddlersbetweenpulsars had pulsars, so it needed updating.
- Routes FINALLY have supply/fuel fees calculated. Not charged yet.
- Players fly through the galactic collision when traveling. That's shown and expensive now.

Updating all the little planet photos cause they haven't been updated since the game was in HTML. I generally don't like autotiles, but they work for making roughs (and coordinating which colors are in planet backgrounds).

#screenshotsaturday bit boring visually this time. Wrote a script that roughly estimates the profit per item per route. Already found a few misconfigs.

Now to add configs for the other 9 shops and ~40 items, plop down planets, add fuel costs, tweak travel formulas...

Still rough and the furniture is a mess again, but all the ships have their own map. The peddlers can visit each other now.

Malady's ship is flooded, as it should be. She's a sea dwelling species who's been sleeping on a dry, absorbent cloth bed till now.

Figuring out buy/sell images.

Communication is imperfect between species. Shops'll try to label items players can sell, or items they are buying/are needed. But Svarogi don't quite get it, and just throw up pictures of what they WANT.

The chat screen could use endless polishing, but handling groups and nice scrolling was priority. Maybe in a week or two, an updated demo will be up.

Only took a week to redo half the dialogue/_ready functions! Some parts still need refactoring, but ships do show up if their owner is anywhere on the planet.

Can't visit other ships yet, but it's nice to see who you've managed to bump into the moment you land.
