I would argue he was telling women how best to protect themselves from #PeepingToms, but in any case, he should have known, it's only transidentifying males, (like noted cannibal #SarahBaker) who are allowed to suggest such things

Post image Menacing figures swarmed my dreams, out of my range of vision, but when I confronted them, they vanished. Fantastic. Another night of waking frequently and having difficulty falling back asleep. Counting in my head, I took deep breaths. Whatever Catalano had put into me, its effects seemed to have dissipated, but I still wanted to see a lab report.

Vampires didn’t have to be supernatural. There were many reasons doctors sometimes thought people were dead who weren’t. An explanation for Edwin haunting me was another story. The most likely one wasn’t great: I was nuts. I mostly ignored him in the prep room today. I’d had some practice. It was easier to work with Frankenstein peering over my shoulder, and I’d had more than one nightmare about her. I’d have traded Edwin for her in a heartbeat.

Despite being crazy enough to think I was regularly seeing a ghost, I wouldn’t give up on facts and the scientific method. But it was difficult to feel rational when ominous shadows loomed malevolently around my bedroom, abetted by moonlight spilling through the bay window. I breathed deeply, eyes closed, hoping for no more bad dreams. I longed for a good old-fashioned college or med school nightmare: sitting down, naked, of course, to take an exam and finding that I hadn’t gone to class all semester. Ah, good times.
