The Pentax LX FD-1
Sadly, KEH forgot to include the FB-1 base in the package. Luckily I already have one for another special viewfinder, the FC-1. Hopefully they get that base squared away tmrw...

All attached to my favorite camera of all time, the Pentax LX.
My final buy for one of my own cameras arrived today - the Pentax LX FD-1 has diopter correction from -4.5 to +3.5 and 2x magnification which these old eyes need now. I'm not overcompensating for any other shortcoming. Really.

I've never seen an LX in as pristine, mint unused condition before this. No scratches no dust no wear. Original seals intact. Mirror spotless. Viewfinder w/cap. Protective tape on bottom plate.
Then I opened it & sobbed.

A Pentax LX camera body being worked on to fix the sticky mirror issue and make it usable again. Fingers crossed.
Testing out a DIY fix for the Pentax LX's notorious 'sticky mirror syndrome' using an extra body I bought for pennies a few years ago.
This thing is in mint condition, except for the mirror issue. But it doesn't matter what condition it's in if you can't shoot it!
