We have a family of squirrels in our backyard. Napoleon, who poses with paw on chest, Guinevere his beautiful partner, and Juniors one and two. Junior is mature now, with a full bushy tail. But Junior one tends to forget his manners and stuff his cheeks full of food. We don’t have groundhogs near us, so I have no idea where he got these bad manners. They are still incredibly cute and fun to watch. And they love our giant oak tree and its acorns, which are plentiful this year!

Did Guinevere not tell you to talk with your mouth full and to chew with your mouth closed? Junior is still working on social graces. It’s tough when you are hungry, I know. This acorn must be awfully tasty.
