![There are signs of Spring all around us in Central PA with flowering trees in bloom and plants reaching toward the sun. Working and walking outdoors recently made us think about a quote from Audrey Hepburn: "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." One of the blooms that it's still a little too early for; but, that has been growing rapidly are the peonies. Thinking about a tomorrow in the very near future we're sharing, "Pannier of Peonies" a 12x12" Acrylic on Canvas from March 2025. Artist's Statement / Backstory: I was in need of some new examples for Sip & Paint / Paint Parties and had been wanting to paint peonies for some time; so, this is the culmination of the two. I'm happy to report back that it was already a fan-favorite based on the number of people who used it as inspiration at last evening's Cocktails & Canvases [photos to be shared soon].
