A 17-year cicada clings to the bark of a tree. It is facing up on the tree. Its body is dark black and its wings are transparent with vertical veining. The outer edges of the wings are a bright yellow. The insect's head is also black and it has large round deep red eyes. The feet that can be seen by its head are also the same red color as its eyes.

Pharaoh cicada clinging to a tree. The tree is mostly blurred but appears to have some kind of light green moss on it. The cicada is looking upwards. Its body and head are black with deep red eyes on the sides and a pair of small antennae at the front. Its wings are folded back.
