My own sense of personal philosophy is kind of a Frankenstein monster of different traditions. From the Stoics I learned how not to be reactive or emotionally hijacked, while still allowing myself to exist as a person who experiences very strong emotions. From the Buddhists I learned how not to attach to the results of things, and things that I have no control over. And from the Christians I learned how to have a relationship with the divine. None of these things conflict with each other. They all belong.
