Scripture tells us that the peace of God that passes all understanding shall guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And the word peace is vital in that passage of scripture and to me, “peace” is not to do with perfection, but peace is being able to find a place or state of tranquility in spite of, or in the midst of turbulence and conflict. Conflict is all around us, in the world, in our local area and even potentially in our relationships with people. But finding that position of peace, calmness and tranquility is really vital for good mental health, spiritual health and for self care in general.
