I think thats about all I've got for now. Its an insanely good show which has my mind BUZZING, picking apart all the potential symbolism of the atom bomb, and the air force one, and Vegas, and Carol driving a cop car...Its BEAUTIFUL #PluribusSpoilers
I think also, Manousos represents another male fantasy...Theres been endless commentary on how the zombie apocalypse story is a distinctly male power fantasy, that one's prepper instincts would finally become useful, and to have an excuse to enact violence on "sub-humans". #PluribusSpoilers
That, I'm gonna be honest, I dont have an answer for yet. I feel like I have to mull it over more. I will say it rubbed me the wrong way! I think he would be, in Manousos' zombie apocalypse, taking advantage similarly. Chars like him are common in such stories.

With this in mind, I think gender politics are at play as well. I noted that Carol was reading Ursula K. Leguins The Left Hand of Darkness in this final episode. Which is a sci-fi story which heavily discusses gender politics. Its brilliant, I highly recommend it, I need to reread. #PluribusSpoilers
And I think this lack of agency, thats a key to understanding this scenario. Especially when you consider that the main char is a lesbian who has experienced conversion therapy before. Which very much features rape. Yes, even to this day. #PluribusSpoilers
If the show were theoretically an entire other scenario, and the message from space had an encoded explanation with it of what it was, and every Plurb knew what they were getting into...it would be a very different show. I'd be 100% pro-Plurb. But its not. #PluribusSpoilers
