In their medical office in Ala Mhigo, Pollux idly taps the table; their hand next to Dominus' visor as they seem to contemplate how to repair it. All while they engage in chit-chat with Volke. It is mostly one-sided. "You're lucky I'm a night stroller, friend. This part of town is quite dead this late in the night. Any longer than that and he would've bled out all by himself, most likely." Then, they turn towards Volke, resting their head on another hand with a smug expression plain in their face. "Now, if I may pry... Where did you two meet, again...?" Volke's expression, contemplative and watchful towards his Sol as he smokes a cigarette, quickly turns sour as he faces away reminescing their first encounter. Whatever happened, he does not wish to elaborate upon it. "... A tavern."
Pollux then gets up and, with hands on their back and an ever-confident posture, starts walking towards Volke, who's sitting right next to an unconscious, but mostly stabilized Dominus. His eyes still idly bleed out ichor, but an off-screen puncture on his arm feeds serum into his veins. "You know what's funny? I myself have met the Beast exactly like this: a dying, frail little carcass carried by someone infatuated by it. My little brother'd hurt him, the fool he was. But he cowered under the sight of his own orders and dragged the Beast back to me." Pollux' eyes narrow slightly behind their rose-tinted shades, still judgemental of their brother's actions back in the capital. Their next words imply crude and unresolved memories. "Hypothermic. Unconscious.Paralyzed. Nude." Pollux, howhever, seems equally as keen to not dweel too much on the past, and shrugs the subject off. "Amusing how history repeats itself, no? Anyhow, great chat, but I gotta check if anyone in Ala Mhigo happens to have spare parts for a 5000 years-old Allagan visor." As they say this, they bend over to snatch Volke's cigarette from his fingers for themselves. Volke does not appear amused in the slightlest from this display.
Pollux straights themselves, taking a single drag out of the stolen cigarette, before one playful jab that implies far more knowledge on Volke's identity than they initially led on: "Keep an eye out for him, won't you, Cassian?" As Pollux walks away, Volke breaks silence once more. "... You are gravely mistaken on one thing." Pollux briefly shows curiosity on his statement, to which Volke continues, as he stares at Dominus' resting vessel: "What I feel... Is nothing as petty as 'infatuation'." Then, at last, Volke turns to Pollux with a maddened expression to his face and a barely contained shake to his voice. "... Tis naked, unrelenting DEVOTION." Pollux, on the other side of the room, simply cocks their head to the side and gives a knowing smile in response. "... Oh, I'm sure of it."- they simply say.
