In my lifetime, the #PovertyRate for the elderly fell from 35% to 10% due to #SocialSecurity. This vital safety net for retired workers contributes to the overall strength of our society. Retirement payments to seniors go right back into their community in, e.g., rent & food #ProtectSocialSecurity
