I don’t understand why someone in leadership isn’t trying to build a coalition around a “war on poverty.” This is what the country seems to need to most.

No shoes, I think about photos of children working and all those plants back then and they had no shoes. Lyndon Johnson was a school teacher in Texas before he went into politics. He was so upset that his students didn’t have shoes that he decided to go into politics. #WarOnPoverty
