Jade Harley Scaling: Outerversal is a term that gets thrown around so much that most people just outright don't understand what it means. Let me set the record straight. For most forms of power scaling past the universal level, any level of power can be reached so long as you are willing to stack enough dimensions atop each other. Multiversal to Hyperversal, just keeping stacking infinities and you'll get there. Outerversal is where dimensions stop mattering entirely. It does not matter how many dimensions you climb. It does not matter if you can climb infinite dimensions atop infinite dimensions. There is no amount of infinity stacking you can do to reach Outerversal because Outerversal is not a sum of lesser infinites like other tiers are. It is beyond them completely. Making all else completely irrelevant and insignificant. There are two ways an entity can reach Outerversal, besides a character just being "this infinite dimensional cosmology means nothing to me, haha". In fact, the actual size of the rest of the cosmology is basically irrelevant to a being of Outerversal status. Be they 6d or ♾️d, it's going to be irrelevantly small regardless. The first is through Platonic Concepts. According to Plato's Theory of Forns, reality as we understand it is simply an illusion in comparison to the true reality that exists beyond, where concepts and ideas, unfiltered by physical reality reside. This is Outerversal, because no matter how many spatial dimensions make up physical reality, it can never measure up to the world outside Plato's Cave. This is verbatim how the Furthest Ring is described. Setting aside the fact that Hussie outright name drops Platonic Concepts as a major function of their worldbuilding in the director's commentary, Alternate Calliope describes the Furthest Ring as a realm of concepts and abstraction when talking to Jade.
This leads us up to the next layer: High Outerversal. To be High Outerversal, one must transcend Outerversal stuff to the sane extent Outerversal transcends everything else. Very simple. This brings us to the next way you can reach Outerversal: Reality > Fiction. In much the same way the abstract realm of the Forms sees us physical meat suits as mere illusion, so too does a real life person view fiction. It does not matter how much power scaling bullshit you've got, you cannot hurt irl me because I'm real and you're not. Now, there's a lot of nuance in when to apply to this one. A lot of franchises have 4th wall breaking and in a lot of cases it's not treated as a power scaling deal. Does Popeye punching out the animator count as Outerversal? I'd say no. Those aren't treated as achievements that make a character infinitely more powerful. Is The Player from Undertale or Deltarune count as Outerversal for this? Maybe. The Player is treated as a higher being, an outside context problem that no one in the story has the means to understand or combat. Definitely a wait and see case. Andrew Hussie honkself does not qualify as High Outerversal through this. Plenty of regular characters from Jack Noir to Vriska can simply beat the shit out of him and it's not treated as a cosmic feat for doing so. But the actual website and the force of the narrative in universe absolutely should. Not only is messing with the website directly always tied to a significant feat of cosmic power, but the force of the narrative is omnipresent even across the Furthest Ring. A glitch destroying the website is treated as an existential threat to all reality. This makes Homestuck as a whole a High Outerversal cosmology. Take it one step further now. Works of fiction themselves within Homestuck are layers of reality, real to themselves but nonexistent to those in stories on a higher rung. This gives Homestuck infinite High Outerversal layers High Outerversal+ Fodder Is Food
