A large vintage 1970s hand-blown amber with blue applied disks glass modern bowl designed by Josef Hospodka for the Prachen Glassworks in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). Striking modernist design with charming handmade irregularity in the design! Measures 6-3/4" diameter by 3" tall at rim, and weighs about 2.5 pounds prior to packing. Unmarked, as is expected from this era/maker/etc. Probably originally an ashtray, but no damage or smell and likely never used for that purpose. Great as a coin dish, a catch-all for cufflinks etc, or displayed on a shelf as modern art! Excellent vintage condition.
