A marker, ink, & paint pen drawing of my OCs, The Watchers (TW), two supernatural robed creatures with gold hands & wings, robed so that their faces (we think they don’t have any!) are covered, showing only the mouse-like ear bumps on their heads. Left TW is lying on the second shelf down, gold feathered wings folded on their back, leaning on their elbows, looking at right TW, who is reaching for a book on the top shelf (Really Wicked Spells), trying to use their gold, blue, & yellow dragon wings to reach it (their feet do not touch the ground.)(Actually, their feet aren’t visible…). The left W is saying (in speech bubble): “…Asked The Prophet for new wings, huh? I TOLD you to wait until AFTER the summoning, “Smaug”!”. The right W is replying (in speech bubble) “Oh, shut up.”. The bookcase is brown wood. All the books have joke titles (like How to Knit Dr. Wu’s Cardigan!). Top shelf, L-R: a mysterious glowing machine, 13 books, a wooden box with a gold lock that has a cobweb & a mouse skull set on top, a three-eyed, fanged, skull under a glass dome, 11 books about Cryptids. 2nd shelf, L-R: a pink day planner (for 6000 b.c.e.), 15 diaries dating from 3000b.c.e.-1970c.e., left TW lying in front of books, 7 visible books, right TW’s arm & head, 7 more books. 3rd shelf, L-R: a box with air holes & 2 labels (DO NOT OPEN!, & CONTENTS: ONE CAT (MAYBE)) marked Schrödinger Animal Distribution, 7 books, a gold machine with black legs that has a glass top containing a large eye & smaller eyes on stalks, 2 books (Tiny Mobile Death Ray!), right TW’s body, 3 books. Bottom shelf, L-R: 22 books, the rest covered by right TW. Don’t worry, TWs are inseparable! And The Prophet will probably give them new wings soon(ish). TWs are in the library of The Mouse Prophet (also my OC). The book titles reference my other OCs, monsters, magic, & parodies of real books. Wings reference for left TW: TigerStrawberry/iStock, right TW: The Sforza Hours (1400s). My fave bit is right TW’s wings.

This WAS fun! 😀 It took me about 20 hours altogether, & I space out my “things on shelves” drawings, b/c they’re a lot of work (by comparison, most drawings take between 4-7 hrs).
The Prophet has a very large library. 🤨

A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of my OC Nosferawwwwtu, a gentle night creature with green skin, long spindly fingers, and a ragged black robe (or maybe it’s skin, we’re not sure; we never see them without it). Nosferawwwwtu is standing in their castle, looking at a fancy carved mirror lit with candles in sconces. Nosferawwwwtu is trying to adjust the large Trans support rosette on the front of their robe, but only the ribbon is visible in the mirror (though that Trans support ribbon is stylin’!). Nosferawwwwtu is sighing to themselves. One of their rat friends is giving a thumbs up (THEIR reflection shows up! Lucky!), while another rat is peeking around the edge of the mirror. At the bottom of the image, white letters read: “NOSFERAWWWWTU HAS PROBLEMS DRESSING UP…”. The walls are dark red, the floor is brown wood, except in the mirror, where the wall and the floor look lighter. Only the rat is reflected in the mirror, which is framed in yellow (its gold leaf). Nosferawwwwtu is agender, ace/aro, but likes company, as long as it is after the sun is down. They cannot meet you for lunch or daytime marches, but they are very passionate about trans rights.

I did this piece at the beginning of June, and was never quite happy with it. Several layers of colour later, I’m happier, but I’d need to re-draw the the whole thing to get any better.

Nosferawwwwtu has issues with mirrors. Poor supernatural creature! 💜💚
