It's also important to watch state level issues because Draconian legislation is being tested in predominantly red-occupied states like FL, TX, etc, & it's copied & pasted into legislation in other states via #ALEC & #ProjectBlitz.
So what you see in one state is just the beginning.

Copy-paste legislation driven by Christian nationalists. The Republicans test draconian legislation in dark states like FL and TX then expand it to other states and ultimately nationwide. It's been dubbed #ProjectBlitz.
There's a secular version, too, under the auspices of #ALEC.
It began with Spiritual Mobilization org that put "In God We Trust"on the money & had congress made it the motto. The #ProjectBlitz picked up the ball.
Last year this same white #ChristianNationalist lobbied to put the motto on school walls. It should NEVER have come out of #IdLeg committee 4 vote.
Discussions surrounding FL's new restrictions on gender-affirming care focused largely on transgender children. But a new law passed last month also made it difficult – even impossible – for many transgender adults to get treatment.
