Rainbow lorikeets are absolutely the clowns of the parrot world. For whatever reason this one thought it needed to make a scene by loudly squawking and flapping up and down on this twig.

As far as I can tell this is the same pair of lorikeets that I saw nesting in this same tree hole during my first semester at Macquarie.
