Woke up from bedrotting long enough to change into my “woke up gay again” pjs and cry about #carlahayden and #sesamestreet and how much I HATE living in this world I didn’t vote for. On Sunday I’ll do my best despite our FASCIST GOVERNMENT wishing otherwise. Because #publiclibrariesareforEVERYONE
A family came into the library tonight and one of the grownups, after seeing my pronoun and nonbinary flag pins, quietly showed me that they also had a nonbinary pin on under their blazer.
It was a micro-dose of joy and I really needed it.

I am a librarian and this is absolutely true. We also require subpoenas for camera footage, and you can opt not to track your checkout history — so there’s nothing anyone can request.
