Kilbourne Hole peridotite mantle xenolith with area of dark orthopyroxene crystals formed via the rock-melt reaction MG2Si04 + Si02 → 2MgSi03. Part of a complex history involving rock-melt interaction, refertilization, and multiple metasomatic events.
