#DMA AIS raw data show the #Qasr identifying itself as #Devika, MMSI 655912900 = false Malawi flag.
Equasis lists it as Qsar, Oman flagged. IMO does the same, but got no MMSI number for it.
Such vessels with unclear flag status make a mokery of maritime law.

This unusual building served as a hunting lodge for princes and their guests during the Umayyad period. While the guests were powerfully, the architecture and interior decorations were largely informal.
This site is located near a wadi, or creek, so it would be near to game for the hunting guests. While the wadi was dry during my visits, the area had a lot of vegetation relative to most of this desert. Speaking of water, the building to the left houses a significant well system, with a livestock-driven pumping system. Pretty advanced for the 8th century. We’ll go inside tomorrow to see the wonderful frescoes.

Located in the rocky eastern desert, on the way to Iraq (if you like). These are remains of a larger complex that included a palace/fortress.
The 3-humped roofline suggests the functions of the bathhouse — a reception hall and multiple heated spa areas.
