Yes on Massachusetts #Question2. I was uncertain for awhile but realized that MCAS does not include history or civics, which inevitably means those subjects are shortchanged.

In #wealdandwen, one of the main characters is essentially a second-class citizen in his colony. He is a vital part of their survival but treated as property. He is punished and tortured, often, for continually going against what he was grown to be.
