Why'd I read it: The title
Genre: nonfiction
Thoughts: Some quotes I really enoyed:
Your life is defined by not only by what you think about it, but also what you think of yourself.
The greatest act of self love is to no longer except a life you are unhappy with.

Rated: Loved it Review: This series has really hit its stride. While the previous book would still be my favorite, this was really good. There were a bunch of different threads, but it worked well. I love the creativity and humor relating to the different discoveries and problems, even if Bobs are capitalists.

Why'd I read it: Title was funny
Genre: Fiction/Mystery
Thoughts: Simple, easy to read mystery. Reminiscent of a cheesy K-drama for me.

Rated: Loved It Review: This was my favorite book in the series so far. I liked how there were less concurrent storylines, and I was very invested in the predominant storyline. The evolution of the Bobiverse and the questions of personhood and existentialism were very creatively dealt with.

Rated: Loved it Review: While the first book was just a book I “liked” - the previous book and this book were fantastic. I love how the story has progressed and love the main character(s) and their nuances. I’m interested to see what comes next!

Rated: Loved it Review: I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one. I think some of it had to do with their being more established characters and storylines that I’m becoming invested in. Great sci-fi book with many different layers and constantly dealing with the question of what makes us human.

Rated: Liked it Review: I enjoyed this book. I went in without any context and I’m glad I did, it made it more like I was experiencing the story alongside Bob. This is a very sci-fi book, so if you’re not into that, you probably would not enjoy this. The banter is fun though and it’s just some of the technical stuff that felt like it dragged on sometimes.

Why'd I read it: Saw people recommend it
Genre: Fiction
Thoughts: Not what I expected, knew just the basics of who Achilles was and didn't do any research on what the book was about 😅

Rated: Loved it Review: Absolutely loved this book. The continuation of the previous book was perfect and I enjoyed Tarisai’s (and everyone else’s) continued growth. The multiple journeys that occur in this book were really well paced and I loved most choices the author made. My only real criticism of this book was repeated uses of the word “manic”. As someone with Bipolar, I’m very sensitive to usage of that term not relating to actual mania.

Why'd I read it: Saw that it was a top audiobook
Genre: Fiction
Thoughts: Definitely see why people preferred it as a audiobook. The structure is like a behind the music style documentary. The cast did a great job bringing out the emotions that mightve felt lost on a page.

Why'd I read it: Liked the first one
Genre: fiction
Thoughts: Much more differences to the movie although the central plot remains. Still enjoyed it and hope they do more with the actor.

Why'd I read it: Enjoyed the movie and the actor is the narrator
Genre: fiction
Thoughts: Pretty much the movie. I really liked that the actor also read the detective's lines like the movie. Will check out if he does the other novels as well.

Rated “loved it” with the following review: Wonderful world building, characters who are easy to care about, great character growth, really fascinating story and great setup for the next book. Loved the lore and the desires to both buck tradition where it didn’t serve people but also to restore what had been hidden that was good.

Rated “Loved It” with the following review: Such a good romance novel! The choices made had me constantly saying “no!” but there’s gotta be some conflict to resolve. Ember’s journey is an interesting one and I’m happy to have read it. Danuwoa is the best.

Rated “Loved It” with the following review: This book was incredible. Heart-wrenching - maybe even more so as the world around the story is based in reality. I’m struggling to write much without giving away any story. And, especially in light of this story, Free Palestine!

Thoughts: I see parallels with Twitter. The power of social media and its influence is definitely alarming and the role they have with sharing data.

Rated “Loved it” Review: Probably the best sci-fi book I’ve read. I’m amazed at how much in-depth science was in this book but it stayed interesting and engaging the whole time. I knew nothing about this going into it other than it was space related and never imagined where it would end up. Loved this so much.

Rated: Liked It Review: The series ended, and I still never really liked the main character and was just constantly frustrated with her choices. The book and the series were super well written, but I was not satisfied with how it wrapped up. Maybe there was something more real about the lack of happy ending.

Cover of Slow Gods by Claire North. A silhouette of a spaceship passing in front of a large celestial body which seems to be radiating waves of visible sound or energy.

Thoughts: Expected more Zodiac Killer but was more politically charged. Found out that the PT is in other books and liked her enough to read others. Mentions Chet Ondowsky so I might read that as well.
