A short comic featuring two object OCs, Quill (he/they) and Steering Wheel (he/him), with the stanzas of a sonnet floating in the panels. It starts with Quill and Steering Wheel simply looking at each other fondly yet almost hesitantly.
The first stanza reads as follows:
How this must be what had been felt that day
The sinful fruit eaten from the tree.
You host my thoughts and steal my mind away
To taste the freedom blessèd here to me.
It then shows that they are at a train station, with the train already waiting there.
The second stanza reads:
If Sin is knowing our own reverence,
My punishment lies centuries ahead.
Yet all the Heavens can't compare to whence
Your fond devotion lingers in their stead.
The next panel, Steering Wheel is on the steps of the train car, smiling bittersweetly while holding Quill's hands, who himself is still standing on the station platform.
The third stanza of the sonnet reads:
So never shall I breathe a wary sigh
For fear of laying seldom near to you.
Exchange my sorrow from ev'ry Goodbye
With cherishment divine you shall endue.
The final panel shows the train leaving the station, already disappearing in the distance.
The final two lines of the sonnet are:
My Darling, for your sanctity I yearn.
O, Railway, come deliver our eterne.
OC post for Valentine's Day (- ᴗ - ✿)
Don't mind how messy this is please lol. I used a real quill and I'm still not used to it. Also my handwriting is generally that bad. The full poem transcript will be in the alt text in the replies.
