An iconic and rare vintage 1970s one of a kind handmade sterling silver and faceted citrine modernist cuff bracelet by the renowned Rachel Gera of Israel. An exceptional design from one of the best of the era! She was famous for the intricacy of her design and the construction that were the epitome of 1970s brutalist studio jewelry! Her jewelry was much sought-after and worn by some of the biggest celebrities of the era including Elizabeth Taylor and Peter Ustinov! This incredible bracelet is an irregular framework of criss-crossing bars on top of which are applied irregular shape and size domes. To one side is a large (approx 20 carats) oval bezel-set faceted citrine. I've seen rings by Gera in this design, but this is the first and only bracelet like this that I've seen in my 45+ year career! Quite a statement on the wrist! Measures 1-3/4" wide and fits up to a 7-1/2" wrist. Weighs a super hefty 86.2 grams total. Marked as shown, "Handmade Gera Israel 925". Excellent vintage condition.
